'They Came in Search of Paradise' part of Maria Rivans's Still Life Series and takes its title from the iconic Bounty Bar adverts of the 1970s. Here, the slogan becomes a mantra: it's we who are the Bounty Hunters in search of our own earthly paradise, which Rivans offers up in this bounteous bouquet, brimming over with flowers. fruits, and fronds: birds. butterflies, and bees: and visions of the good life, from Hula dancers to pleasure pavilions.
