This Pin-up series collage celebrates the intersection of music, place, and era, bringing together Blondie and Jimi Hendrix through a shared Isle of Wight festival experience. It has been created using over 1000 carefully sourced, cut out and glued collage elements. Each headdress is a layered narrative: Blondie’s reflects the neon energy and punk-pop vibrancy of late 70s, while Hendrix’s channels the psychedelic spirit and iconic sound of the 1970 festival. Local landmarks, flora, and fauna weave through both, grounding the work in the island’s unique landscape, while festival motifs and stage elements link the two worlds. The piece is a visual symphony of music, history, and personality, capturing the essence of two legendary performers in a single, unified composition.
